From the info I have been able to find, the number is higher than the 7,000 estimate some say online. I also highly recommend and use the John MacArthur Study Bible as one of my main study resources, because John MacArthur has a consistency of handling God’s Word carefully, including using the Word of God as his main source to explain the Word of God. Makes sense, right? : )

As we look at this list of judgments on the Elitists, we need to first recognize 2 things:
Ø The true state of the human heart
Ø And the contrast-divide of being a slave of money and a slave of Jesus

Human heart:
Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?”

Contrast/Divide between slavery to Jesus and slavery to the cares of this world:

Cursing Israel in quite a few ways, including:
Ø Using money to control and manipulate every detail of Jewish society:
o From controlling their tourism through terror,
o To making it really hard for people to make Aliyah (Jewish people moving to their homeland - Israel)
o To trade – controlling what they can trade and who they can & cannot trade with
o To self-preservation – controlling which murderers (aka ‘terrorists’) they can arrest and/or execute and which ones the can’t
o To business – allowing and encouraging casinos and night clubs
o To government – installing and propping up very corrupt and immoral leaders

Ø Pressing the Israeli leadership to give away land God gave them by an Unconditional, Everlasting covenant
Ø Funding the slander and murder of the most honorable of the Israeli population: the settlers

Genesis 12:3 – God’s promise to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her
Genesis 12, 15, 17 – God’s Unconditional Covenant, including a huge a huge piece of land
The land God promised them was truly a huge piece of land connecting to 3 seas, and 2 major rivers and covering a couple of mountain ranges. Compared to what God promised them, the land the Jewish people currently possess is a very small slice of what God promised them – probably about 15% of the land God gave them (based on general maps and Numbers 34:3-12). The most outrageous part is that the Elitists and murderous Arabs are trying to take at least part of that from them too!
Joel 3:2 – God promises to judge those who divide up His land
Psalm 122:6 – We are told to pray for the peace of Jerusalem
Romans 9-11 – The church has not replaced Israel – God has not abandoned Israel, or His Unconditional Covenant, or His many prophecies concerning Israel
Romans 11:16-18 – Those who are saved through Jesus are grafted into Abraham’s covenant

John 10:10 describes the true face of Islam very well! (But these Elitists want to hide the true face of Islam behind the American version: that it’s ‘peaceful’) – for more info on the truth about Islam, I highly encourage you to read Mark A. Gabriel’s book: Islam and Terrorism. Mark has a Ph.D. in Islamic history, and he was the top Islamic professor, at the top Islamic university in Egypt. He started asking questions about the contradictions in Islam and their Koran, nearly got murdered – but God protected him, but he had to run for his life. He gave his life to Jesus, came to the US, changed his name (to protect his life and his family) to Mark A. Gabriel, and now runs a dangerous ministry to Muslims who are leaving Islam behind to come to Jesus Christ. He needs your prayers, and his insights on true Islam are fascinating.

God’s Word on these actions:
Matthew 7:1-5 – Do not judge that you will not be judged.
This is one of the most misunderstood (and misused) verses in the Bible. First off, Jesus isn’t telling us not to use discernment; He is commanding us not to judge. The word judging is condemning – a prideful: ‘I’m better than you’ - ‘you shouldn’t do that’ attitude. A quick literal reading of this verse and the few verses right after it shows that Jesus is challenging us to get our heart/life right, then we can go to our brother/sister in gentleness and humility. Not correcting our own ways, but pointing out other people’s sin to justify our sin > is the topic – do not judge.

Romans 16:17-18; Jude 14-19 – causing divisions, fighting for lawlessness
Hebrews 5:14 – We are challenged to learn to exercise/train our senses to discern between good and evil
Philippians 1:9 – Increase in discernment
Romans 12:9 – Abhor [completely hate] what is evil, cling to what is good.
1st Thessalonians 5:21~
“21Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22Abstain from every form of evil.”

Hurting/destroying the poor:
Ø Joining business to business to ruin the poor
Ø They use large monopoly-companies to crush those who are trying to honestly work hard

As you already know, our country is in pretty bad shape and in desperate need of revival and repentance. We do have some improvements to be thankful for. It sounds like the Elitists had to delay the National ID, but we all know they are repackaging it with a different name and still trying to slip it by us. Urgent prayer request - Curious, how much do you know about the global peace ‘Facing Tomorrow’ summit going on this week in Israel? Did you know that 15 heads of states and 3,500 wealthy guests are in Israel right now? [Please read all the way to the end of that article. The last part explains 5 trends that are getting ready to change the whole world economic picture: something interesting (and somewhat chilling) about how these Elitists want to adjust things in the global economy, so that India, China, and Russia can emerge more as superpowers, on the same plain as the United States. Shimon Peres, the host of this ‘peace’ conference, is arguably self-serving, probably a criminal, and he is an opponent of the Israelis who want to hold onto the land God gave them by covenant. On June 13, 2007, Peres was installed as the figurehead President of Israel, against the will of the honorable Israelis. Now, Peres has added this to his list of infamous actions: sponsoring another ‘peace conference’ and this time for the world elites. President Bush is openly using Perez to forward the Arab Road Map for oil guarantees [promises]. They’re calling this conference ‘Facing Tomorrow’. Nice name, but what are these meetings about?

These wealthy guests and world leaders have a track-record of pressing, persuading, and/or forcing Israel to give up land in return kickbacks [bribes] to those who work with them. These Elitists are determined to force Israel to give away Judea, Samaria, and part of Jerusalem and more – by whatever means necessary. This is a very evil week against Israel. In the last few weeks before this conference, reports* have been circulating about the criminal acts of the people ruling Israel right now (corrupt Kadima party), and yet the global, greedy Elitists are over there trying to continue to prop up these corrupt leaders and force Israel to give away land that God gave them by an unconditional, everlasting covenant. We need to keep in mind that God is the one who is allowing the Israelis to return to their homeland (fulfilling many prophecies). All the land they possess they had to buy or acquire when they defended themselves from the wars the Arabs started. Now, these Elitists are trying to pressure/force Israel to give away that land to a group of radical Islamic people who call themselves ‘Palestinians’ – including parts of Jerusalem! If these greedy Elitists (including the Bush Admin team.) get any agreement(s), our country is headed to some very hard times. God’s Word is very clear: He will keep His promise in Genesis 12:3. That promise/covenant with Abraham is of vital interest to God, us and our country: “I will bless those who bless you [Abraham and his descendants: Israel] and curse him who curses you, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” God also warns us in Joel 3:2 that He will enter into judgment with those who divide up His land. Also in Psalm 122, God tells us to: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you…’”

Those of us who are followers of Jesus Christ need to recognize that we have not replaced Israel, but instead, we are grafted into God’s covenant with Abraham. We need to pray for honorable Israelis right now – they need our prayers. We don’t want what happened to Great Britain to happen to us and our beloved country. In the Balfour Agreement (November 2, 1917), which led to Israel in modern time becoming a nation again on May 14th 1948, the huge piece of land (what is now called Jordan) had been promised to Israel, but was given to the Arabs. After this agreement and then Britain’s leadership turned on the Jewish people, the churches in Britain started going empty and becoming spiritually dead – God’s blessing left the country. We don’t want that to happen here!

Please pray that God tears down all the agreements they are trying to put together against Israel this week. Please also pray for boldness for those brave Israelis who are standing up to these evil meetings, and please pray for protection for those settlers who had the faith to build their homes and businesses in harsh conditions.

We also request that you would send this prayer request to your friends. This is a desperate hour for our country.

U.S. President George W. Bush, former British prime minister Tony Blair and media mogul Rupert Murdoch are among the 13 heads of state and 3,500 guests expected to attend President Shimon Peres' Presidential Conference in Jerusalem.

The conference, which begins Tuesday, is being held in honor of Israel's 60th anniversary.

The conference will bring together people from vastly different fields at the capital's International Convention Center, in what has been called "a celebration of Jewish intellect." Discussion subjects in panels and workshops are to range from medical ethics to "Why the new Middle East is not yet here." The conference budget, $21 million, has been entirely provided by Jewish donors from Israel and elsewhere. U.S. billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who is close to MK Benjamin Netanyahu, contributed $3 million and was named honorary conference president. In the days leading up to the conference, it has been impossible to find any suites in Jerusalem hotels - eight hotels in the city are already fully booked. The International Conference Center, where the opening ceremony will take place, has undergone a massive remodeling. Hundreds of attendants have been hired to cater to the distinguished guests' needs, and a number of special teams have been formed by the Foreign Ministry in order to escort some of the world leaders that will arrive. Fifty representatives will be on call to answer the press' questions, and 400 hotel rooms have been booked for journalists. The organizers of the conference are hoping that Peres' stature will not be overshadowed by the investigation[1] against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Olmert is scheduled to speak to the conference twice. It is not clear whether the publication of the suspicions against Olmert will result in a change of plans. Ex-U.S. diplomat analyzes threats to Israel in run-up to conference In a run-up to the conference, former U.S. deputy secretary of state and treasury Stuart Eizenstat was to present on Monday a position paper on Israel's future to the conference's participants. In the paper, Eisenstat analyzes the main geo-political trends that threaten and effect Israel and the Jewish world. The paper includes ways in which to deal with these issues as well. The first trend Eisenstat discusses is a shift in the world's economic and political power, as the United States will soon no longer be the lone super power. Eisenstat remarks that other players, such as India, China and Russia, will soon become much more influential. The second trend Eisenstat writes of refers to both globalization and the "Clash of Civilizations". The third is the rise of the radical Islam and terror groups. The fourth is on "untraditional" dangers such as nuclear proliferation, global warming and demographics. The fifth and final trend is the rise of a new form of anti-Semitism which is mixed with anti-Israel sentiments.

"All these main trends will be most challenging to Israel and the Jewish world," summarizes Eisenstat, "but Israel is in a good position. The economy is strong, Israel has an excellent military and the kind of creativity that turns these challenges into opportunities." In order to take advantage of these opportunities, Eisenstat believes Israel must fight the brain drain and invest heavily in education. He adds that in order for Israel to preserve it's Jewish and Democratic identity, it must have internationally accepted borders.

If you want the real news, then look for the small independent news companies, including those listed above, and seriously consider what they are saying. You will find them to be sincere American patriots that are trying very hard to let their findings be heard. You will find that the news they report makes more sense with the facts you have been noticing.

Who told us that George W Bush is a Christian? The Bush and Cheney families are deep into Arab oil and its filthy money “…evil desire and covetousness which is idolatry” - Colossians 3:5 In addition to that, W has celebrated Ramadan for at least the last seven years. But while God has been getting Israel ready for end time prophecies, the Bush team has been trying hard to curse Israel by giving away parts of the Holy Land (including parts of Jerusalem), also weapons, training and lots of money to a collection of radical Muslims that call themselves ‘Palestinians’. Taking the Promised Land from Israel is cursing Israel, because the Land was a part of God’s unconditional ‘Everlasting Covenant’. (Genesis 12:3; Joel 3:2) Where is the public outcry in the USA to protect Israel from the Arab ‘Road Map’? Why do Bush, Cheney and our nation’s big oil companies want Arab oil at any price? This past weekend was an exciting event for our nation! The ‘Expelled’ Movie was in theaters and placed in the top 10 box office list. Dear friends, our country is in desperate need of those who will stand on the living Word of God and cry out against the corruption, sin, lawlessness, and exposing these evil deeds. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 6:11) We must remember that God honors and protects those who fear Him. Too many leaders in this land fear man rather than God. Jesus warned us: “Do not be afraid of those who can kill the body, and after that have no more they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has the power to cast into Hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!” (Luke 12:4-5)

Jesus, when He was here on earth, challenged the people of Israel to understand what was going on based on the signs of the times – (Matthew 16:3). Jesus also commended those who were diligent students of His Word and those who recognized the meaning of the signs of the times – (1st Chronicles 12:32; Luke 12:37-39; Acts 17:11)

So, the question boils down to: Are we willing and ready to stand on God’s Word? Are we willing to “walk in the light as He is in the light…” (1st John 1:5-10) and stand with those who are exposing the evil deeds of the corrupt, greedy, and godless leaders [corrupt political and religious, false teachers]? Our nation is in desperate need of those who will obey and serve Jesus Christ no matter the cost, and trusting Him to protect them ~ Psalm 91!

Bush spent some of Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Capital Rotunda with holocaust survivors, allied veterans, and their families. In a ceremony that included Jewish prayers and songs sung by holocaust victims in the camps, Benjamin Meed, a survivor of the Warsaw ghetto uprising, movingly described to the gathering what he experienced on April 19, 1943."I stood outside a Catholic church, which faced the ghetto," Mr. Meed said, "a young Jewish boy posing as a gentile. As I watched the ghetto being bombarded by the German artillery, I could see many of the Jews of my community jumping out of windows of burning buildings. I stood long and mute." The survivor concluded his reminiscence saying, "We tremble to think what could happen if we allow a new generation to arise ignorant of the tragedy which is still shaping the future."President Bush, appearing almost uncomfortable, read a statement that said that humanity was "bound by conscience to remember what happened" and that "the record has been kept and preserved." The record, Mr. Bush stated, was that one of the worst acts of genocide in human history "came not from crude and uneducated men, but from men who regarded themselves as cultured and well schooled, modern men, forward looking. Their crime showed the world that evil can slip in and blend in amid the most civilized surroundings. In the end only conscience can stop it."But while President Bush publicly embraced the community of holocaust survivors in Washington last spring, he and his family have been keeping a secret from them for over 50 years about Prescott Bush, the president's grandfather. According to classified documents from Dutch intelligence and US government archives, President George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush made considerable profits off Auschwitz slave labor. In fact, President Bush himself is an heir to these profits from the holocaust which were placed in a blind trust in 1980 by his father, former president George Herbert Walker Bush.Throughout the Bush family's decades of public life, the American press has gone out of its way to overlook one historical fact - that through Union Banking Corporation (UBC), Prescott Bush, and his father-in-law, George Herbert Walker, along with German industrialist Fritz Thyssen, financed Adolf Hitler before and during World War II. It was first reported in 1994 by John Loftus and Mark Aarons in The Secret War Against the Jews: How Western Espionage Betrayed the Jewish People.The US government had known that many American companies were aiding Hitler, like Standard Oil, General Motors and Chase Bank, all of which was sanctioned after Pearl Harbor. But as The New York Times reporter Charles Higham later discovered, and published in his 1983 groundbreaking book, Trading With The Enemy; The Nazi American Money Plot 1933-1949, "the government smothered everything during and even after the war."

Why?

According to Higham, the US government believed "a public scandal ... would have drastically affected public morale, caused widespread strikes and perhaps provoked mutinies in the armed services." Higham claims the government thought "their trial and imprisonment would have made it impossible for the corporate boards to help the American war effort." However, Prescott Bush's banks were not just financing Hitler as previously reported. In fact, there was a distinct business link much deeper than Mr. Higham or Mr. Loftus knew at the time their books were published. A classified Dutch intelligence file which was leaked by a courageous Dutch intelligence officer, along with newly surfaced information from U.S. government archives, "confirms absolutely," John Loftus says, the direct links between Bush, Thyssen and genocide profits from Auschwitz.The business connections between Prescott Bush and Fritz Thyssen were more direct than what has been previously written. This new information reveals how Prescott Bush and UBC, which he managed directly, profited from the Holocaust. A case can be made that the inheritors of the Prescott Bush estate could be sued by survivors of the Holocaust and slave labor communities. To understand the complete picture of how Prescott Bush profited from the Holocaust, it is necessary to return to the year 1916, where it all began.Post World War I: Thyssen Empire On The RopesBy 1916, August Thyssen could see the writing on the wall. The "Great War" was spinning out of control, grinding away at Germany's resources and economy. The government was broke and his company, Thyssen & Co., with 50,000 German workers and annual production of 1,000,000 tons of steel and iron, was buckling under the war's pressure. As the main supplier of the German military, August Thyssen knew Germany would be defeated once the US entered the war.At 74, “King" August Thyssen knew he was also running out of time. His first born "prince" Friedrich (Fritz) Thyssen, had been groomed at the finest technical business schools in Europe and was destined to inherit his father's estimated $100,000,000 fortune and an industrial empire located at Muehhlheim on the Ruhr. In addition to Fritz, plans were also made for the second son Heinrich. At the outbreak of the war, Heinrich Thyssen discreetly changed his citizenship from German to Hungarian and married the Hungarian aristocrat Baroness Margrit Bornemisza de Kaszon. Soon Heinrich Thyssen switched his name to Baron Thyssen Bornemisza de Kaszon.Near the end of World War I, August Thyssen opened the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart in Rotterdam. The neutral Holland was the perfect location outside of Germany to launder assets from the August Thyssen Bank in Berlin when the financial demands of the Allied forces surfaced. But the war ended much sooner than even Thyssen calculated and what developed caught the "Rockefeller of the Ruhr" off guard.On November 10, 1918, German socialists took over Berlin. The following morning at 5 a.m., what was left of Germany surrendered to the Allies, officially ending World War I. "At the time of the Armistice and the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, my Father and I were deeply saddened by the spectacle of Germany's abject humiliation," Thyssen recalled later in his autobiography, I Paid Hitler.After the war, chaos descended on Germany as food ran short. Winter was looming over a starving nation when on Dec. 7, 1918, the socialist Spartacists League came knocking on the Thyssen Villa with armed militia. August and Fritz were arrested and dragged from jail to jail across Germany for four days. Along the way, they were lined up in staged executions designed to terrorize them.It worked. When released, the two Thyssens were horrified at the new political climate in their beloved Germany. They could not accept that Germany was responsible for its own demise. All Germany's problems, the Thyssens felt, "have almost always been due to foreigners." It was the Jews, he and many others believed, who were secretly behind the socialist movement across the globe.Meanwhile Fritz's younger brother Baron Thyssen Bornemisza de Kaszon moved to Rotterdam and became the principal owner of the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart. All the Thyssens needed now was an American branch. 1920s: The Business Ties That Bind Railroad baron E.H. Harriman's son Averell wanted nothing to do with railroads, so his father gave him an investment firm, W.A. Harriman & Company in New York City. E.H. hired the most qualified person in the country to run the operation, George Herbert Walker. Averell hired his little brother Edward Roland "Bunny" Harriman as a vice president.By 1920, George Herbert Walker had already built a fortune in Missouri. Walker, a charismatic former heavyweight boxing champion, was a human pit bull. He lived life to the fullest, owning mansions around the east coast and one of the most extravagant apartments in Manhattan. His hobbies were golf, hunting, drinking scotch and beating his sons to a pulp. Elsie Walker, one of Walker's grandchildren described Walker as a "tough old bastard" whose children had no love "for their father." He was also religious bigot who hated Catholics, although his parents raised him to be one. According to other sources, he also did not like Jews.In 1922, Averell Harriman traveled to Germany to set up a W.A. Harriman & Co. branch in Berlin. The Berlin branch was also run by Walker. While in Germany, he met with the Thyssen family for the first time. Harriman agreed to help the Thyssens with their plan for an American bank. The following year, a wounded Germany was growing sicker. The government had no solution and froze while Germany rotted from within. With widespread strikes and production at a near standstill, Fritz Thyssen later recalled, "We were at the worst time of the inflation. In Berlin the government was in distress. It was ruined financially. Authority was crumbling. In Saxony a communist government had been formed and the Red terror, organized by Max Hoelz, reigned through the countryside. The German Reich ... was now about to crumble." In October, 1923, an emotionally desperate Fritz Thyssen went to visit one of his and Germany's great military heroes, General Erich Ludendorff. During the 1918 socialist rule in Berlin, Ludendorff organized a military resistance against the socialists and the industrialists were in great debt to him. When Thyssen met with Ludendorff, they discussed Germany's economic collapse. Thyssen was apocalyptic, fearing the worst was yet to come. Ludendorff disagreed. "There is but one hope," Ludendorff said, "Adolph Hitler and the National Socialist party." Ludendorff respected Hitler immensely. "He is the only man who has any political sense." Ludendorff encouraged Thyssen to join the Nazi movement. "Go listen to him one day" he said to Thyssen.Thyssen followed General Ludendorff's advice and went to a number of meetings to hear Hitler speak. He became mesmerized by Hitler. "I realized his orator gifts and his ability to lead the masses. What impressed me most however was the order that reigned over his meetings, the almost military discipline of his followers." Thyssen arranged to meet privately with Hitler and Ludendorff in Munich. Hitler told Thyssen the Nazi movement was in financial trouble, it was not growing fast enough and was nationally irrelevant. Hitler needed as much money as possible to fight off the Communists/Jewish conspiracy against Europe. Hitler envisioned a fascist German monarchy with a nonunion, antilock national work force.Thyssen was overjoyed with the Nazi platform. He gave Hitler and Ludendorff 100,000 gold marks ($25,000) for the infant Nazi party. Others in the steel and coal industries soon followed Thyssen's lead, although none came close to matching him. Many business leaders in Germany supported Hitler's secret union-hating agenda. However, some donated because they feared they would be left out in the cold if he actually ever seized power. Most industry leaders gave up on Hitler after his failed coup in 1923. While Hitler spent a brief time in jail, the Thyssens, through the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart, opened the Union Banking Corporation in 1924.Union Banking CorporationEarly in 1924, Hendrick J. Kouwenhoven, the managing director of Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart, traveled to New York to meet with Walker and the Harriman brothers. Together, they established The Union Banking Corporation. The UBC's headquarters was located at the same 39 Broadway address as Harriman & Co. As the German economy recovered through the mid to late '20s, Walker and Harriman's firm sold over $50,000,000 worth of German bonds to American investors, who profited enormously from the economic boom in Germany. In 1926, August Thyssen died at the age of 84. Fritz was now in control of one of the largest industrial families in Europe. He quickly created the United Steel Works (USW), the biggest industrial conglomerate in German history. Thyssen hired Albert Volger, one of the Ruhr's most influential industrial directors, as director General of USW. Thyssen also brought Fredich Flick, another German family juggernaut, on board. Flick owned coal and steel industries throughout Germany and Poland and desperately wanted to invest into the Thyssen empire. One of the primary motivations for the Thyssen/Flick massive steel and coal merger was suppressing the new labor and socialist movements.That year in New York, George Walker decided to give his new son in law, Prescott Bush, a big break. Walker made Bush a vice president of Harriman & Co. Prescott's new office employed many of his classmates from his Yale class of 1917, including Roland Harriman and Knight Woolley. The three had been close friends at Yale and were all members of Skull and Bones, the mysterious on-campus secret society. Despite the upbeat fraternity atmosphere at Harriman & Co., it was also a place of hard work, and no one worked harder than Prescott Bush.In fact, Walker hired Bush to help him supervise the new Thyssen/Flick United Steel Works. One section of the USW empire was the Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation and the Upper Silesian Coal and Steel Company located in the Silesian section of Poland. Thyssen and Flick paid Bush and Walker generously, but it was worth every dime. Their new business arrangement pleased them all financially, and the collective talents of all four men and their rapid success astonished the business world.In the meantime Hitler and the Nazi party were broke. Since the German economic recovery, members and donations had dried up, leaving the Nazi movement withering on the vine. In 1927, Hitler was desperate for cash; his party was slipping into debt. Hitler told his private secretary Rudolf Hess to shake down wealthy coal tycoon and Nazi sympathizer Emil Kirdorf. Kirdorf paid off Hitler's debt that year but the following year, he too had no money left to contribute.In 1928, Hitler had his eyes on the enormous Barlow Palace located in Briennerstrasse, the most aristocratic section of Munich. Hitler wanted to convert the palace into the Nazi national headquarters and change its name to the Brown House but it was out of his price range. Hitler told Hess to contact Thyssen. After hearing the Hess appeal, Thyssen felt it was time to give Hitler a second chance. Through the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart, Thyssen said he "placed Hess in possession of the required funds" to purchase and redesign the Palace. Thyssen later said the amount was about 250,000 marks but leading Nazis later claimed that just the re-molding cost over 800,000 marks (equivalent to $2 million today).Regardless of the cost, Hitler and Thyssen became close friends after the purchase of the Brown House. At the time, neither knew how influential that house was to become the following year when, in 1929, the great depression spread around the world. With the German economic recovery up in flames, Hitler knew there was going to be a line out the door of industrialists waiting to give him cash.1930s: Hitler Rises - Thyssen/Bush Cash InThyssen would later try to claim that his weekends with Hitler and Hess at his Rhineland castles were not personal but strictly business and that he did not approve of most of Hitler's ideas, but the well-known journalist R.G Waldeck, who spent time with Thyssen at a spa in the Black Forest, remembered quite differently. Waldeck said when he and Thyssen would walk through the cool Black Forest in 1929-30, Thyssen would tell Waldeck that he believed in Hitler. He spoke of Hitler "with warmth" and said the Nazis were "new men" that would make Germany strong again. With the depression bleeding Europe, Thyssen's financial support made Hitler's rise to power almost inevitable.The great depression also rocked Harriman & Co. The following year, Harriman & Co. merged with the London firm Brown/Shipley. Brown/Shipley kept its name, but Harriman & Co. changed its name to Brown Brothers, Harriman. The new firm moved to 59 Wall St. while UBC stayed at 39 Broadway. Averell Harriman and Prescott Bush reestablished a holding company called The Harriman 15 Corporation. One of the companies Harriman had held stock in was the Consolidated Silesian Steel Company. Two thirds of the company was owned by Friedrich Flick. The rest was owned by Harriman.In December 1931, Fritz Thyssen officially joined the Nazi party. When Thyssen joined the movement, the Nazi party was gaining critical mass around Germany. The charismatic speeches and persona of Hitler, the depression and the Thyssen's Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart all contributed to Hitler's sudden rise in popularity with the German people. In September 1932, Thyssen invited a group of elite German industrial tycoons to his castle to meet with Hitler. They spent hours questioning Hitler, who answered all their questions with the'"utmost satisfaction," Thyssen remembered. The money poured in from the industrial circles mostly due to Hitler's "monarchistic attitude" towards labor and issues of class.But by November, German voters grew weary of Hitler's antidemocratic tendencies and turned to the Communist party, which gained the most seats in the fall election. The Nazis lost a sweeping 35 seats in the Reichstag, but since the Nazis were already secretly negotiating a power sharing alliance with Hindenberg that would ultimately lead to Hitler declaring himself dictator, the outcry of German voters was politically insignificant.By 1934, Hindenberg was dead and Hitler completely controlled Germany. In March, Hitler announced his plans for a vast new highway system. He wanted to connect the entire Reich with an unprecedented wide road design, especially around major ports. Hitler wanted to bring down unemployment but, more importantly, needed the new roads for speedy military maneuvers. Hitler also wanted to seriously upgrade Germany's military machine. Hitler ordered a “rebirth of the German army" and contracted Thyssen and United Steel Works for the overhaul. Thyssen's steel empire was the cold steel heart of the new Nazi war machine that led the way to World War II, killing millions across Europe.Thyssen's and Flick's profits soared into the hundreds of millions in 1934and the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart and UBC in New York were overflowing with money. Prescott Bush became managing director of UBC and handled the day-to-day operations of the new German economic plan. Bush's shares in UBC peaked with Hitler's new German order. But while production rose, cronyism did as well.On March 19, 1934, Prescott Bush handed Averell Harriman a copy of thatday's New York Times. The Polish government was applying to take over Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation and Upper Silesian Coal and Steel Company from “German and American interests" because of rampant "mismanagement, excessive borrowing, fictitious bookkeeping and gambling in securities." The Polish government required the owners of the company, which accounted for over 45% of Poland's steel production, to pay at least its full share of back taxes. Bush and Harriman would eventually hire attorney John Foster Dulles to help cover up any improprieties that might arise under investigative scrutiny.Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939 ended the debate about Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation and Upper Silesian Coal and Steel Company. The Nazis knocked the Polish Government off Thyssen, Flick and Harriman's steel company and were planning to replace the paid workers. Originally Hitler promised Stalin they would share Poland and use Soviet prisoners as slaves in Polish factories. Hitler's promise never actually materialized and he eventually invaded Russia.1940s: Business As UsualConsolidated Silesian Steel Corporation was located near the Polish town of Oswiecim, one of Poland's richest mineral regions. That was where Hitler set up the Auschwitz concentration camp. When the plan to work Soviet prisoners fell through, the Nazis transferred Jews, communists, gypsies and other minority populations to the camp. The prisoners of Auschwitz who were able to work were shipped to 30 different companies. One of the companies was the vast Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation. "Nobody's made the connection before between Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation, Auschwitz and Prescott Bush," John Loftus told Clamor. "That was the reason why Auschwitz was built there. The coal deposits could be processed into either coal or additives for aviation gasoline."
Even though Thyssen and Flick's Consolidated Steel was in their possession, Hitler's invasions across Europe spooked them, bringing back memories of World War I. Thyssen and Flick sold Consolidated Steel to UBC. Under the complete control of Harriman and management of Bush, the company became Silesian American Corporation which became part of UBC and Harriman's portfolio of 15 corporations. Thyssen quickly moved to Switzerland and later France to hide from the terror about to be unleashed by the Nazi war machine he had helped build.A portion of the slave labor force in Poland was "managed by Prescott Bush," according to a Dutch intelligence agent. In 1941, slave labor had become the lifeblood of the Nazi war machine. The resources of Poland's rich steel and coal field played an essential part in Hitler's invasion of Europe. According to Higham, Hitler and the Fraternity of American businessmen "not only sought a continuing alliance of interests for the duration of World War II, but supported the idea of a negotiated peace with Germany that would bar any reorganization of Europe along liberal lines. It would leave as its residue a police state that would place the Fraternity in postwar possession of financial, industrial, and political autonomy."Six days after Pearl Harbor and the US declaration of war at the end of 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau and US Attorney General Francis Biddle signed the Trading With the Enemy Act, which banned any business interests with US enemies of war. Prescott Bush continued with business as usual, aiding the Nazi invasion of Europe and supplying resources for weaponry that would eventually be turned on American solders in combat against Germany.On October 20, 1942, the U.S. government had had enough of Prescott Bush and his Nazi business arrangements with Thyssen. Over the summer, The New York Tribune had exposed Bush and Thyssen, whom the Tribune dubbed "Hitler's Angel." When the US government saw UBC's books, they found out that Bush's bank and its shareholders "are held for the benefit of ... members of the Thyssen family, [and] is property of nationals ... of a designated enemy country." The list of seven UBC share holders was:

Groeninger - 1 share.The UBC books also revealed the myriad of money and holding companies funneled from the Thyssens and the government realized UBC was just the tip of the iceberg. On November 17, 1942, The US government also took over the Silesian American Corporation, but did not prosecute Bush for the reasons Higham noted earlier. The companies were allowed to operate within the Government Alien Property custodian office with a catch - no aiding the Nazis. In 1943, while still owning his stock, Prescott Bush resigned from UBC and even helped raise money for dozens of war-related causes as chairman of the National War Fund.After the war, the Dutch government began investigating the whereabouts of some jewelry of the Dutch royal family that was stolen by the Nazis. They started looking into books of the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart. When they discovered the transaction papers of the Silesian American Corporation, they began asking the bank manager H.J. Kounhoven a lot of questions. Kouwenhoven was shocked at the discovery and soon traveled to New York to inform Prescott Bush. According to Dutch intelligence, Kouwenhoven met with Prescott soon after Christmas, 1947. Two weeks later, Kouwenhoven apparently died of a heart attack.1950s: Bush Sells UBC StockBy 1948, Fritz Thyssen's life was in ruins. After being jailed by the Nazis, he was jailed by the Allies and interrogated extensively, but not completely, by US investigators. Thyssen and Flick were ordered to pay reparations and served time in prison for their atrocious crimes against humanity.On February 8, 1951, Fritz Thyssen died bitterly in Argentina at the age of 78. Thyssen was angry at the way he was treated by Europe after the war and how history would remember him as Hitler's most important and prominent financier. When Thyssen died, the Alien Property Custodian released the assets of the Union Banking Corporation to Brown Brothers Harriman. The remaining stockholders cashed in their stocks and quietly liquidated the rest of UBC's blood money.Prescott Bush received $1.5 million for his share in UBC. That money enabled Bush to help his son, George Herbert Walker Bush, to set up his first royalty firm, Overby Development Company, that same year. It was also helpful when Prescott Bush left the business world to enter the public arena in 1952 with a successful senatorial campaign in Connecticut. On October 8th, 1972, Prescott Bush died of cancer and his will was enacted soon after. In 1980, when George H.W. Bush was elected vice president, he placed his father's family inherence in a blind trust. The trust was managed by his old friend and quail hunting partner, William "Stamps" Farish III. Bush's choice of Farish to manage the family wealth is quite revealing in that it demonstrates that the former president might know exactly where some of his inheritance originated. Farish's grandfather, William Farish Jr., on March 25th, 1942, pleaded "no contest" to conspiring with Nazi Germany while president of Standard Oil in New Jersey. He was described by Senator Harry Truman in public of approaching "treason" for profiting off the Nazi war machine. Standard Oil, invested millions in IG Farben, who opened a gasoline factory within Auschwitz in 1940. The billions "Stamps" inherited had more blood on it then Bush, so the paper trail of UBC stock would be safe duringhis 12 years in presidential politics. It has been 60 years since one of the great money laundering scandals of the 20th century ended and only now are we beginning to see the true historical aspects of this important period of world history, a history that the remaining Holocaust survivors beg humanity to "never forget."Loftus believes history will view Prescott Bush as harshly as Thyssen. "It is bad enough that the Bush family helped raise the money for Thyssen to give Hitler his start in the 1920s, but giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war is treason. The Bush bank helped the Thyssens make the Nazi steel that killed Allied solders. As bad as financing the Nazi war machine may seem, aiding and abetting the Holocaust was worse. Thyssen's coal mines used Jewish slaves as if they were disposable chemicals. There are six million skeletons in the Thyssen family closet, and a myriad of criminal and historical questions to be answered about the Bush family's complicity."There is no question that the Bush family needs to donate at least $1.5 million to the proper holocaust reparation fund. Since Prescott Bush is dead, the only way to compensate is for the main inheritors of his estate to make amends with surviving slaves and the families of slaves who died in Bush and Thyssen's coal mines. Firefighters asked to report people who express discontent with the government

It was revealed last week that firefighters are being trained to not only keep an eye out for illegal materials in the course of their duties, but even to report back any expression of discontent with the government.

A year ago, Homeland Security gave security clearances to nine New York City fire chiefs and began sharing intelligence with them. Even before that, fire department personnel were being taught "to identify material or behavior that may indicate terrorist activities" and were also "told to be alert for a person who is hostile, uncooperative or expressing hate or discontent with the United States."

Unlike law enforcement officials, firemen can go onto private property without a warrant, not only while fighting fires but also for inspections. "It's the evolution of the fire service," said a Phoenix, AZ fire chief of his information-sharing arrangement with law enforcement.

Keith Olbermann raised the alarm about the program on his show Wednesday, noting that "if the information-sharing program works in New York, the department says it will extend it to other major metropolitan areas, unless we stop them." He then asked Mike German, a former FBI agent who is now with the ACLU, "This program seems to be turning [firefighters], essentially, into legally protected domestic spies, does it not?"

"That's the entire intent," German replied, noting the serious legal issues involved. "There is actually still a fourth amendment," he pointed out, "and what makes a firefighter's search reasonable is that it's done to prevent a fire. If now firefighters are going in with this secondary purpose, that end run around the fourth amendment won't work, and it's likely that they will find themselves in legal trouble."

Olbermann, however, was most strongly concerned about the implications for civil liberties. "Is what disturbs you and the ACLU the same thing that just jumped off the page for me?" he asked. "That one phrase, 'look for people who are expressing hatred of or discontent with the United States?' Discontent?"

German agreed that there are serious first amendment issues raised by the focus of the program on constitutionally-protected literature, such as books that might be considered "terrorist propaganda."

Olbermann asked in conclusion whether firefighters could be used under this program to plant evidence. German agreed that the way it is defined "really plays to people's prejudices and gives them the opportunity to do damage to someone."

Many of the spiritual leaders in our country over the past number of decades have allowed a lot of corruption as they have become more ‘politically correct’ and stopped teaching the harder truths of Jesus and the cost of following Him. But the Good News is that God is raising up older leaders and newer leaders who are going back to the foundational truths of the Bible, as well as those leaders that have continued to teach His truth “in season and out of season”. We are grateful to God for this fresh start of a reformation – getting back to the foundational principles of God’s Word like: “the fear of the Lord.”

As many of you know, a lot has been happening in our country. The Bush family and the elitists have still been trying to overthrow our government with the help of a majority of congress, but even still, God has been using those who preach righteousness and hold to our constitution to stand up to the lying, deception, greed, etc. and back them down. They haven’t stopped, but says to those who follow Him: “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1st John 4:4) May God continue to help us to learn to fear Him more than we want to please ourselves or anyone else!

Annapolis insanity

The U.S. is preparing for a very ominous summit in Annapolis later this month to move the "peace process" forward.

When all is said and done, the word “Annapolis" is going to take on a new meaning from this historic error.

What do I mean?

When we say "Oslo" today, you probably think of this so-called "Middle East peace process" – one that leads inevitably and inexorably to never-ending appeasement of the Islamists by Israel.

That's essentially what the peace process is all about. It's about doing the same things over and over again and somehow expecting different results.

A good word for this process is "insanity."

Unfortunately, I believe when this Annapolis summit is completed, we will look back at Oslo and what has transpired since as "the good old days."

Here is what is being decided there:

· The borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state.
· The status of Jerusalem, including those holy places on and adjacent to the Temple Mount.
· The so-called "right of return" for so-called Palestinian "refugees" living outside Israel and the Palestinian areas.

Actually, it's not quite accurate to say these things are being decided there. The truth is they have already been decided. The meeting in Annapolis is a formality where they will be unveiled to the world.

Israeli leadership, if that term is not an oxymoron, has determined to let the Muslims have the Temple Mount, the holiest place in Judaism. It has determined to partition Jerusalem. And it has determined to cut further into the current land of Israel in handing over Judea and Samaria permanently to the Muslims.

The script is written. At Annapolis, Israeli leadership is actually prepared to hand over the Temple Mount to the Muslims – to forsake any claims upon it.

You need to understand the mindset of the Israeli political elite. Christians tend to glamorize these folks. In fact, they are very similar to our own politicians here in America – those who are selling out our own birthright, our own unique heritage as a godly people and nation.

The worst fear of the Israeli political elite has always been – since 1967 when the Jews captured the Temple Mount – the rebuilding of the Temple. Most of them see it as nothing more than silly superstition that has the potential to engulf the world in war.

That's why Moshe Dayan quickly put the Temple Mount under the authority of the Muslims immediately after it was captured, and that's why Ehud Olmert and the rest of them will attempt to give it away permanently in a treaty.

The Israeli political leadership went so far in its desire to rid themselves of this troublesome Temple Mount they probably broke their own laws in allowing the Muslims to excavate in and around it. They would do almost anything to undermine the nascent hopes of observant Jews that their Temple might actually be rebuilt.

What a strange time for Israel to lie down before its enemies. Not only is the Jewish state worried rightfully about two potential nuclear threats – one from Iran and the other from a chaotic Pakistan – but there are a multitude of conventional threats as well.

· Hezbollah has acquired a small number of missiles capable of targeting Tel Aviv's international airport. This, according to sources, is what Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah is referring to in recent speeches when he warns of a "colossal surprise" they have in store in the next conflict with Israel.
· As Israel prepares to turn over most of Judea and Samaria to the so-called Palestinians, Hamas – also supported by Iran and Syria – is preparing to stage a takeover of the West Bank similar to the coup it staged in the Gaza Strip.

Do you really want to know how crazy U.S. policy is in the face of these and other threats to Israel's survival?

As WND reports today, a senior Palestinian cleric who is a prominent apologist for suicide bombings met last week with U.S. senators and members of the House of Representatives and consulted last month with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Sheikh Taysir Tamimi, chief Palestinian justice, also claimed in a recently released book for which he was interviewed the Torah was "falsified," Jewish and Christian history were "invented," the Jewish Temples never existed, the Al Aqsa Mosque was built by angels, and Abraham, Moses and Jesus were really prophets for Islam.

Presumably nothing can stop this juggernaut for "peace." As a result, mark my words, in the future, "Annapolis" will have a new dark meaning for all of us.

I received the following email this week from a man whose US-based ministry has long fought to defend Israel and its biblical right to this land. He and others like him are urgently calling for all Israel-loving Bible believers to make their way to Washington, DC and Annapolis, Maryland to confront the latest satanic attempt to divide this land and thwart God’s plans.

Jerusalem is in danger. The nation of Israel is in danger. Our families and communities are in danger. There is a battle raging, a revolution formulating and it is not focused on the Jews alone. What we see happening in Israel today with the people who refer to themselves as Palestinians is merely a war by proxy aimed at controlling God’s very throne, the place where He said His name would be known FOREVER, Jerusalem, more precisely Mount Moriah - the Temple Mount.

If Islam can dominate the land of Israel and push the Jews into the Mediterranean (which to this day is the stated goal of PLO charter) there will be no stabilizing force to hold back the pan-Arab takeover of the Asian and African Continents, there will be no bridle in the mouth of the descendants of Ishmael who God Himself foretold would be a wild ass among men. Make no mistake about it, Islam is a revolution on a global scale. The Imams are teaching that their pseudo-god provided his faithful followers with an abundant supply of oil to fund the spread of Islam throughout the Earth. The oil is running out with only another twenty years left to accomplish their deed. This, to the point of total domination, where the infidel or unbeliever is only allowed to survive as a slave and is heavily taxed. This can already be seen happening in most of the Islamic countries throughout the world today.

My point is this - Right now the framework is being set for an unprecedented take over of Israel’s biblical inheritance. If Islam takes control of the land now being proposed, not only will there not be peace in the Middle East, the stage will be set for insurrection throughout the world. There is a unique opportunity to make a stand to help protect Israel from Arab aggression while never leaving American soil. We can make a difference, together, at a time when Israel is having her arm twisted by an administration desperate to create a legacy for itself at the expense of the Jewish people.

We can lift our voices in opposition at the front of the White House and at the front gate of the Annapolis Naval Academy. Permits to assemble have been secured at both venues on the dates of the conference in Annapolis. We need voices. We need faithful believers who can come together and say to the mountain of political coercion facing Israel, be removed.

A coalition of Jewish and Christian organizations is working together to rally support for Israel and defend Jerusalem from Arab aggression. The dates for the rallies are November 25 at the White House and the 26th and 27th at Annapolis.

These guys clearly understand that this battle is a spiritual one at its root, and that action is needed. Many Christians, even ones who firmly support and love Israel, believe that since everything is ultimately in God’s hands anyway, there is no need for us to take action. This position is wrong. If anything, the Bible teaches us that God desires to accomplish His will through us. He has honored us by inviting us to partner with Him, and we should not miss that opportunity.

If you are able, make every effort to be one of those physically and publicly standing for Israel when later this month the nations of the world again come against her to try and wrest control of the most important and strategic parts of this land.

So it is settled and the date is November 27. The date of Israel's lynching while all the world cheers. The much-heralded Middle East summit at Annapolis which has stalled a dozen times is now going to happen it would appear.

So, name one concession Israel has made in recent years that has been reciprocated by its sworn enemies. This is not a trick question. There are none.

That's why this month's announced "Middle East Summit" in Annapolis, Md., should be viewed as one more installment payment in the sellout of Israel and of American interests in the Middle East. While the United States continues to struggle to shore up democracy in Iraq, the Bush administration - like administrations before it - proceeds in undermining the likelihood that the region's first democracy will endure.

At every negotiating session, Israel is pressured into making concessions for "peace" and receives more war in response. Mostly this is because of the wishful thinking in the West that has replaced sound policy. Why should the Palestinians make concessions when they are drawing closer to their objective of eradicating Israel by throwing stones and bombs and stonewalling negotiations? Little wonder that one writer calls the event "hopeful insanity."

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has no problems with the agenda. In fact, he set much of the agenda. He proposes that Israel put everything on the table including sovereignty over the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism. "All of the historical questions that overshadow the argument between us and the Palestinians are on the agenda. We will not evade any one of them," Olmert recently explained. Even parts of Jerusalem are up for sale. Judea and Samaria will be shredded.

Does anyone remember all the previous efforts, just a few listed here: Madrid, Oslo I and II, Wye, Tennet, Mitchell, and Saudi "agreements?" As Joseph Farah says, "That's essentially what the 'peace process' is all about: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

What a strange time for Israel to roll over in front of her enemies. Iran is threatening to wipe her out. Hezbollah and Syria are arming for her destruction as well. Fatah and Hamas are warring, causing instability, and both continue to rail at the existence of Israel even as Fatah's Abbas plans for Annapolis.

I echo the words of Jim Hutchins who heads the ministry "The Jerusalem Connection." He states, "There is a special judgment of God reserved for those nations who 'divided up my land.' Regardless of the good intentions of the Bush administration in convening the Annapolis summit, our nation stands in peril if we impose any 'land for peace' solutions on Israel, including a division of Jerusalem. Let it not be said that we did nothing. Now is the time for all who love Israel and the covenant promises God has made, to let there voice be heard. 'For Zion's sake we will not keep silent.' " (Isaiah 62)

Take the words of Joel 3:2 seriously, please. There God says, “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land."

Yet, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps (Ps. 121:4).

Appeal To My Fellow Pastors

Recently, Iowa pastors gathered to hear my presentation in Des Moines on behalf of Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul. After listening to me, they then heard ten-term Republican Texas Congressman Ron Paul himself.

Consider how Congressman Paul's message impacted Pastor Jim Hartman of the Assembly of God church in Conrad, Iowa. "I've been supporting Mike Huckabee, but I would say I'm leaning real strong toward Ron Paul."

Hartman supported President Bush four years ago and explained, "Up until the last six months I had not allowed myself to imagine that we'd been let down by Bush." As for Iraq, he said, "I don't think we were prepared to understand that culture and to work with that culture." He said he now feels "humble and I feel kind of bad that I haven't done a better job of being faithful to Ron Paul's kind of integrity." [Source: MSNBC, Oct. 30, 2007]

Integrity: that is the issue drawing millions to Ron Paul, including young people. The night before I spoke, nearly 700 students gathered at Iowa State University in Ames to hear Dr. Paul. One of those students wrote me recently. His name is Nathan Rockman. He wrote, "As a columnist for the Iowa State Daily here on campus, I have seen first hand what can be described as Ron Paul fever. Since Dr. Paul visited this past Friday, his message of freedom and liberty has been spreading through campus like wildfire . . ."

Ron Paul doesn't recruit artisan spin writers and bloggers to wear down those who might question his past dealings. He doesn't need to.

There are no missing hard-drives, ethics violations, and taxpayer funds used for personal use that need to be spun away. He still refuses to participate in the lucrative Congressional pension fund and returns a portion of his Congressional office budget back to the U.S.
Treasury each year.

This kind of integrity moved Pastor Hartman, the students at Iowa State University, and many more like them.

Ron Paul has been fighting for the right to life from the beginning of his public career. Dr. Paul is rock-solid on pro-life. After all, he has helped over 4,000 women deliver their babies into the world in his obstetrics practice in Lake Jackson, Texas. He proposed the "Sanctity of Life Act of 2005" (and 2007), which would require that "human life shall be deemed to exist from conception, without regard to race, sex, age, health, defect, or condition of dependency." Has he recently discovered these pro-life convictions? Not at all. Congressman Paul introduced the Human Life Amendment in Congress in his very first term of Congress, a couple of years after Roe v. Wade was first handed down.

Is Ron Paul a libertarian, as some use in a throw-away line, often intended to move the listener to discard him without thought? Yes, on areas of fiscal, economic and judicial liberty, he is. But, he is also a social conservative and a Constitutionalist.

Ron Paul's priorities are right with marriage. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for more than fifty years. He believes marriage should be between a man and a woman and defends that principle with his vote, where and when he has the Constitutional authority to do so.
For example, Dr. Paul strongly supports the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Candidly, though, Ron Paul does not believe (and neither do I) that the U.S. Government needs to be defining that which God has already defined in His Word.

Where pastors often become confused about Ron Paul is that when he is resisting the unconstitutional centralization of our federal government, he is often perceived as being anti-family. Many in these pro-family movements themselves have been co-opted into believing that the solutions to our family problems come in the form of more unconstitutional federal legislation and programs. And when one does not agree with these unconstitutional remedies, they conclude that he or she is "anti-family." Such people mean well but are confused.

America would be much better off if we Christian pastors taught the need for Christ-honoring resistance--at the local level--to anti-family federal intrusions. We should call on our congregations to vote out of office any judge who passes rulings designed to pervert the Biblical family. That doesn't take a Constitutional amendment. It just takes courageous pastors and people who understand that judges, too, must respect the Constitution and our Christian heritage.

In fact, adherence to the Constitution protects our freedom of speech and assembly; our freedom of worship; our right to keep and bear arms; our right to a trial by jury; the right to be secure in our own homes against police overreach; our right to witness for Christ in public, as a Christian; the right to own property; the right to not be deprived of life or property without due process of law; the right to face our accusers, and the right to keep government local and limited.

Keeping government local and limited is the cornerstone doctrine of American government. Ron Paul understands this more than any other candidate running today.

Most of the problems that we are now dealing with socially, culturally, financially, etc., stem from America abandoning the basic founding principle that "the government that governs least governs best."

Accordingly, America's commitment to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness has been (and is being) systematically stripped from us--not by State legislatures, but mostly by agencies of the federal government.

Consider how it has been federal courts that have banned prayer in school, and legalized abortion and homosexual marriage. Even in the liberal State of Massachusetts it was the courts (along with a compliant liberal governor, Mitt Romney), that forced acceptance of homosexual marriage upon the people.

The solutions to these problems do not reside in more federal legislation. All that does is strengthen the scope and power of the federal judiciary.

The only ones who have anything to fear from Ron Paul are those who believe in Big Government.

You see, Ron Paul is actually calling on us pastors and Christians to stop seeing the federal government as one "in whom we live and move and have our being." Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord, not the federal government. Have we not, in a material way, set up the federal government as our functional Lord and Savior? When we look to the federal government to solve our moral and spiritual problems, that is exactly what we are doing.

When it comes to the war in Iraq, I firmly believe that Christian conservatives have been duped by the neocons. Dr. Paul--an Air Force veteran and proponent of a strong national defense--opposed the unprovoked and pre-emptive invasion of Iraq, and rightly so. Time has certainly vindicated Dr. Paul's principled position. There was a much better way to deal with al-Qaeda.

Soon after 9/11, Congressman Paul introduced H.R. 3076, the September

According to Paul, "A letter of marque and reprisal is a constitutional tool specifically designed to give the president the authority to respond with appropriate force to those non-state actors who wage war against the United States while limiting his authority to only those responsible for the atrocities of that day. Such a limited authorization is consistent with the doctrine of just war and the practical aim of keeping Americans safe while minimizing the costs in blood and treasure of waging such an operation."

This is precisely what President Thomas Jefferson did when America's ships were confronted with Barbary pirates on the high seas.

If the United States government had listened to Ron Paul, we would not have lost nearly 4,000 American soldiers and Marines, spent over $1 trillion, and gotten bogged down in an endless civil war from which there is no equitable extraction. Furthermore, had we listened to Dr.
Paul, Osama bin Laden would no doubt be dead, as would most of his al-Qaeda operatives, and we would be less vulnerable to future terrorist attacks, instead of being more vulnerable, which is the case today.

One thing that Pastor Hartman brought up in our meeting in Iowa was the sentiment of many Christians and pastors to defend Israel. Dr.
Paul stated that he did not believe that we do Israel any favors and we actually weaken Israel by our constant meddling and intervention. I agree.

Ron Paul is not Israel's enemy. And neither is he the enemy to Christian liberty and constitutional government.

Ron Paul's non-interventionist and constitutional foreign policy approach would help, not hurt, Israel to resolve tensions with their neighbors. Remember, Israel has more nuclear missiles to defend themselves than all of the Middle East nations combined. Believe me, Israel knows how to defend itself. And know this: America's constant meddling curses Israel more than it blesses.

Also consider this: according to published reports such as this one in the Houston Chronicle http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/politics/5223477.html , Ron Paul is receiving more donations from military personnel than any other Presidential candidate in either party. Think seriously about this.
Our active duty and retired military personnel clearly endorse with their own contributions Ron Paul's non-interventionist position above all others.

In the end, if the candidate is a sincere Christian, he will all the more readily obey his or her oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. After all, does not our Lord tell us that our yea is to be yea and our nay is to be nay? In other words, genuine believers are to be true to their word. How, then, could a true Christian make a promise before God and the American people to preserve, protect, and defend the U.S. Constitution and then turn around and ignore that promise?

Ron Paul lives his Christian faith and takes his oath to the Constitution seriously. What more could we ask for in a Presidential candidate?

Every Christian pastor should seriously consider Congressman Ron Paul.

(IsraelNN.com) U.S. Representative Gary Ackerman says smugglers are bringing some $20 million per month into Gaza from Egypt by way of the Philadephi Route.
The Democratic chairman of the U.S. House Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia made the remark in an interview with Haaretz while attending this week's Saban Conference in Jerusalem.
Ackerman said the Egyptians are strengthening the Hamas terrorist group that took over Gaza in June by allowing the smugglers to continue their activities. "Any way that you help the …. illegal government in Gaza, you further hurt Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas]," he said.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says she is bringing everything she has to bear to try and ensure the creation of a Palestinian state before President George W. Bush departs the White House next year.

According to the Associated Press, Rice Monday expressed hope that a peace [sic] deal could be reached "within the time remaining for the Bush administration."

Given the intense effort she has devoted to resolving this conflict, (Rice has made no less than eight trips to Jerusalem and Ramallah this year) it appears she and Bush are pinning their final hopes of securing a "legacy" on attaining an Arab-Israeli agreement rather than on scoring successes in Iraq or in the hunt for Osama bin Laden.

PLO/PA chief terrorist Mahmoud Abbas said Monday Rice had assured him that if he will attend the talks planned in Annapolis for later this month, the "core issues" of Jerusalem, Palestine's final borders, and the "Palestinian refugees" will be dealt with as soon as that conference is over.

If she made such a commitment, Rice either did so with the blessing of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, or with the intention of pressuring the Israeli leader into keeping her pledge after the fact.

With Christian conservatives trying to scramble to find a Republican presidential candidate they can support, some of them seem to be coalescing around former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee. Janet Folger, especially, seems to be trumpeting his candidacy. But is Mike Huckabee someone Christian conservatives should be supporting? Not everyone thinks so.

Randy Minton, chairman of the Arkansas chapter of Phyllis Schlafly's national Eagle Forum, said, "We called him a pro-life, pro-gun liberal, when I was in the state legislature and he was governor."
Phyllis Schlafly herself was even more direct.

President and Founder of Eagle Forum, Phyllis Schlafly, said this about Governor Huckabee: "He destroyed the conservative movement in Arkansas, and left the Republican Party a shambles." She went on to say, "Yet some of the same evangelicals who sold us on George W. Bush as a 'compassionate conservative' are now trying to sell us on Mike Huckabee."

Even one of Huckabee's strongest supporters within the Religious Right, Pastor Rick Scarborough, head of Vision America, admitted, "Mike has always sought the validation of elites." Of course, my question for Rick Scarborough is, With an indictment such as that, how can you continue to support Mike Huckabee?

According to an opinion piece written by John Fund in the Wall Street Journal, "Paul Pressler, a former Texas judge who led the conservative Southern Baptist revolt, told me, 'I know of no conservative he [Huckabee] appointed while he headed the Arkansas Baptist Convention.'"

Fund went on to say that "Mr. Huckabee's reluctance to surround himself with conservatives was evident as governor, when he kept many agency heads appointed by Bill Clinton."

Fund also said this about Huckabee: "'He's just like Bill Clinton in that he practices management by news cycle,' a former top Huckabee aide told me. 'As with Clinton there was no long-term planning, just putting out fires on a daily basis. One thing I'll guarantee is that won't lead to competent conservative governance.'"

Mike Huckabee is also terrible on immigration. According to Jim Boulet, Jr., executive director of English First, "Rudy Giuliani spent years defending the right of New York City to remain a sanctuary for illegal aliens. Yet Giuliani was a veritable Lou Dobbs Jr. on illegal immigration in comparison to Mike Huckabee."

Regarding Huckabee's stance on immigration, Mr. Minton said, "Until of late, he has been an open-borders guy on immigration--amnesty, the whole works. As governor, he wanted to give free college scholarships to all illegals."

Minton's assertion is backed up by Daniel Larison at The American Conservative. He said, "Like his fellow presidential candidate [who recently dropped out of the race], Sen. Sam Brownback, Huckabee regards it as his Christian duty to help subvert and liberalize U.S.
immigration laws. Together, they embrace the notion that fidelity to the Gospel requires privileging the interests of non-citizens over those of fellow citizens."

Ann Coulter agrees: "On illegal immigration, Huckabee makes George Bush sound like Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO). Huckabee has compared illegal aliens to slaves brought here in chains from Africa, saying, 'I think, frankly, the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before.'

"Toward that end, when an Arkansas legislator introduced a bill that would prevent illegal aliens from voting and receiving state benefits, Huckabee denounced the bill, saying it would rile up 'those who are racist and bigots.'

"He also made the insane point that companies such as Toyota would not invest in Arkansas if the state didn't allow non-citizens to vote, because it would 'send the message that, essentially, "If you don't look like us, talk like us and speak like us, we don't want you."'

"Like all the (other) Democratic candidates for President, he supports a federal law to ban smoking--unless you're an illegal alien smoking at a Toyota plant."

A former state lawmaker, Minton also said, that Huckabee was not a "fiscally conservative Republican." Rather, Huckabee was regarded as just another liberal "tax and spender" in fiscal matters. This is in direct opposition to Huckabee's boast of "90 tax cuts during his tenure." And the facts seem to validate Minton, not Huckabee.

An Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration report showed a "net tax increase of $505 million, a figure adjusted for inflation and economic growth" on Huckabee's watch.

That Huckabee is a liberal "tax and spender" is also affirmed by Tom Roeser. According to Roeser, "[Huckabee] hiked state spending 65.3%, from 1996 to 2004. He supported five tax increases, leading the 'Club for Growth' to call him a liberal in disguise . . ."

Roeser also points out that "The Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank with heavy ties to the national GOP, gives him an F grade for spending and taxes in 2006 and an overall grade of D in his governorship. During his tenure, the number of state employees increased over 20% and Arkansas' general obligation debt rose by almost $1 billion."

Furthermore, according to the Washington Times, "Until recently, he [Huckabee] had refused to sign the famous no-tax pledge offered to candidates by Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform."

In spite of Huckabee's proven big-government, big-spending, and pro-amnesty record, however, some Christian conservatives are falling for his conservative rhetoric. It seems that all a Republican candidate has to do is start talking "pro-life" and "pro-marriage" and he or she will gain the support of certain Christian conservatives.

First it was Bob Jones, III endorsing the liberal former governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, and now it is Janet Folger endorsing the liberal former governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee. Why any Christian leader would want to support a man with such a dubious record truly escapes me.

Christians need to beware of Mike Huckabee. He is not a conservative.
Even worse, he is not a constitutionalist. He is an opportunist, however. This is demonstrated by the fact that many of his supporters are openly posturing (with Huckabee's consent, obviously) for an opportunity to run Huckabee as a potential Vice Presidential candidate with either Giuliani or Romney at the top of the ticket.

Let me ask the reader something. How could a principled pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-Constitution conservative be willing to run on a ticket with a liberal presidential candidate such as Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney? That's right, he couldn't.

I say again, beware of Mike Huckabee!

Seeker Friendly Church Leader Admits They Have Done It All Wrong

If you are older than 40 the name Benjamin Spock is more than familiar. It was Spock that told an entire generation of parents to take it easy, don’t discipline your children and allow them to express themselves. Discipline, he told us, would warp a child’s fragile ego. Millions followed the guru of child development and he remained unchallenged among child rearing professionals. However, before his death Dr. Spock made an amazing discovery: he was wrong. In fact, he said:

We have reared a generation of brats. Parents aren't firm enough with their children for fear of losing their love or incurring their resentment. This is a cruel deprivation that we professionals have imposed on mothers and fathers. Of course, we did it with the best of intentions. We didn't realize until it was too late how our know-it-all attitude was undermining the self assurance of parents.

Oops.

Something just as momentous, in my opinion, just happened in the evangelical community. For most of a generation evangelicals have been romanced by the “seeker sensitive” movement spawned by Willow Creek Church in Chicago. The guru of this movement is Bill Hybels. Hybels and others have been telling us for decades to throw out everything we have previously thought and been taught about church growth and replace it with a new paradigm, a new way to do ministry.

Perhaps inadvertently, with this “new wave” of ministry came a de-emphasis on taking personal responsibility for Bible study combined with an emphasis on felt-needs based “programs” and slick marketing.

The size of the crowd rather than the depth of the heart determined success. If the crowd was large then surely God was blessing the ministry. Churches were built by demographic studies, professional strategists, marketing research, “felt needs” and sermons consistent with these techniques. We were told that preaching was out, relevance was in. Doctrine didn’t matter nearly as much as innovation. If it wasn’t “cutting edge” and consumer friendly it was doomed. The mention of sin, salvation and sanctification were taboo and replaced by Starbucks, strategy and sensationalism.

Thousands of pastors hung on every word that emanated from the lips of the church growth experts. Satellite seminars were packed with hungry church leaders learning the latest way to “do church.” The promise was clear: thousands of people and millions of dollars couldn’t be wrong. Forget what people need, give them what they want. How can you argue with the numbers? If you dared to challenge the “experts” you were immediately labeled as a “traditionalist,” a throwback to the 50’s, a stubborn dinosaur unwilling to change with the times.
All that changed recently. Willow Creek has released the results of a multi-year study on the effectiveness of their programs and philosophy of ministry. The study’s findings are in a new book titled Reveal: Where Are You?, co-authored by Cally Parkinson and Greg Hawkins, executive pastor of Willow Creek Community Church. Hybels himself called the findings “earth shaking,” “ground breaking,” and “mind blowing.” And no wonder: it seems that the “experts” were wrong.

The report reveals that most of what they have been doing for these many years and what they have taught millions of others to do is not producing solid disciples of Jesus Christ. Numbers yes, but not disciples. It gets worse. Hybels laments:

Some of the stuff that we have put millions of dollars into thinking it would really help our people grow and develop spiritually, when the data actually came back it wasn’t helping people that much. Other things that we didn’t put that much money into and didn’t put much staff against is stuff our people are crying out for.

If you simply want a crowd, the “seeker sensitive” model produces results. If you want solid, sincere, mature followers of Christ, it’s a bust. In a shocking confession, Hybels states:

We made a mistake. What we should have done when people crossed the line of faith and become Christians, we should have started telling people and teaching people that they have to take responsibility to become ‘self feeders.’ We should have gotten people, taught people, how to read their bible between services, how to do the spiritual practices much more aggressively on their own.

Incredibly, the guru of church growth now tells us that people need to be reading their bibles and taking responsibility for their spiritual growth.

Just as Spock’s “mistake” was no minor error, so the error of the seeker sensitive movement is monumental in its scope. The foundation of thousands of American churches is now discovered to be mere sand. The one individual who has had perhaps the greatest influence on the American church in our generation has now admitted his philosophy of ministry, in large part, was a “mistake.” The extent of this error defies measurement.

Perhaps the most shocking thing of all in this revelation coming out of Willow Creek is in a summary statement by Greg Hawkins:

Our dream is that we fundamentally change the way we do church. That we take out a clean sheet of paper and we rethink all of our old assumptions. Replace it with new insights. Insights that are informed by research and rooted in Scripture. Our dream is really to discover what God is doing and how he’s asking us to transform this planet.

Isn’t that what we were told when this whole seeker-sensitive thing started? The church growth gurus again want to throw away their old assumptions and “take out a clean sheet of paper” and, presumably, come up with a new paradigm for ministry.
Should this be encouraging?

Please note that “rooted in Scripture” still follows “rethink,” “new insights” and “informed research.” Someone still doesn’t get it. Unless there is a return to simple biblical (and relevant) principles, a new faulty scheme will replace the existing one and another generation will follow along as the latest piper plays.

What we should find encouraging, at least, in this “confession” coming from the highest ranks of the Willow Creek Association is that they are coming to realize that their existing “model” does not help people grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ. Given the massive influence this organization has on the American church today, let us pray that God would be pleased to put structures in place at Willow Creek that foster not mere numeric growth, but growth in grace.

I was recently made aware of an online petition currently making the rounds that I would encourage everyone who opposes the surrender of even one inch of the biblical Land of Israel to the Muslim Arab world to sign.

The petition comes in two forms: a motion of no-confidence in the Israeli government for Israeli citizens to sign, and a Declaration of Solidarity for non-Israelis to sign.

Both, say the organizers of the petition, will act to give courage to Israeli lawmakers to stand up to their out-of-control government that seems bent on capitulating to the enemies of the Jewish state.

While this petition alone is unlikely to sway Olmert, who insists he is under no obligation to seek even the Knesset’s approval in negotiating away Israel’s birthright, it never hurts to let Israelis know just how many people out there stand firmly with their right to possess all of their God-given heritage.

While she is winning wide support in nationwide samples among Democrats in the race for their party’s presidential nomination, half of likely voters nationwide said they would never vote for New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, a new Zogby Interactive poll shows.

The online survey of 9,718 likely voters nationwide showed that 50 percent said Clinton would never get their presidential vote. This is up from 46 percent who said they could never vote for Clinton in a Zogby International telephone survey conducted in early March. Older voters are most resistant to Clinton — 59 percent of those age 65 and older said they would never vote for the New York senator, but she is much more acceptable to younger voters: 42 percent of those age 18-29 said they would never vote for Clinton for president.

At the other end of the scale, Republican Mike Huckabee and Democrats Bill Richardson and Barack Obama faired best, as they were least objectionable to likely voters. Richardson was forever objectionable as president to 34 percent, while 35 percent said they could never vote for Huckabee and 37 percent said they would never cast a presidential ballot for Obama, the survey showed.

The Zogby Interactive poll, conducted Oct. 11-15, included 9,718 likely voters nationwide and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 1.0 percentage point.

In a Zogby International telephone survey conducted in March, 46 percent said they would never vote for Clinton. In that survey, she finished in second place, behind Republican Newt Gingrich, a divisive figure who has since announced he would not seek the presidency and was not included in this new online survey. In that earlier poll, 54 percent said they would never vote for Gingrich. This recent survey included only the 17 candidates who were at that time running for President in one of the major parties. Former Vice President Al Gore, who like Gingrich was also included in the earlier Zogby survey of who would never win voters’ support for the White House, was excluded from this latest survey because of his insistence that he has no interest in a run for the presidency.

Interest in a Gore candidacy has been rekindled after he recently won the Nobel Prize for peace in connection with his work on the issue of global climate change.

Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback, who announced Friday he would end his campaign, was included in the poll. He might have sensed the nationwide opposition to his campaign, as 47 percent said they would never vote for him for president. The survey showed he was tied as the third most objectionable candidate, behind Clinton and Congressman Dennis Kucinich (49 percent). Tied with Brownback was Democrat Michael Gravel, a former Alaska senator, and GOP Congressman Ron Paul.

Opposition to Clinton among Democratic and Republican women revealed mirror opposite attitudes, the Zogby Interactive survey showed. While 83 percent of Republican women said they would never vote for her, just 17 percent said they could possibly cast a ballot for her. Among Democratic women, just 17 percent said they would never vote for Hillary, while 83 percent said they could.

Democratic women appear smitten by former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois —just 11 percent said they could never vote for them for President. Republican women, on the other hand, find former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney most attractive — just 14 percent said they would never vote for him. Tied for a close second was former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who were found to be objectionable by just 15 percent of Republican women.

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." (II Thess. 2:3)

This passage of Scripture has been one of the most subjectively interpreted verses of the entire New Testament. Early Christians believed various Caesars to be the predicted "man of sin." During the Dark Ages and into the Reformation age, many Christians believed various popes to be the predicted "man of sin." In Arabia around 600 AD, many Christians believed Mohammed to be the "man of sin." During our War for Independence, many Christians believed old King George to be the "man of sin." During the Twentieth Century, many Christians wondered if Hitler or Stalin could be the dreaded "man of sin." Today, many Christians (including this writer) believe that the predicted "man of sin" is none other than a coming Antichrist.

However, regardless of one's interpretation of who the "man of sin" is, there is no doubt about Paul's prediction that before this man comes, there will be a great "falling away first." By "a falling away," Paul was clearly referring to a state or condition of "apostasy." Paul is saying that before the "man of sin" (whoever he is) will be able to seduce and deceive humanity, the church will fall into apostasy.

By definition, apostasy is the condition of those who once (in some degree) embraced the truth, but have now abandoned or forsaken it. Obviously, this applies only to professing Christians. Infidels, agnostics, and unbelievers have no profession from which to apostatize.

Accordingly, whether on a local or universal scale, before various men of sin can seduce and deceive their respective societies, the Church must first be in a state of apostasy. Saying it another way: churches that are sound in the faith, strong in truth, and steadfast in the Word serve as a resistance and retardant to evil men. No wonder the Lord Jesus said we Christians are "the salt of the earth."

That said, I am personally convinced that, by and large, the churches of America (regardless of denomination) are in a state of apostasy. And as such, offer little or no resistance to the men of sin who seek to seduce and deceive our people.

When a professing Christian President can openly acknowledge his belief in universalism and attack the supreme doctrine of Christianity, that Jesus Christ is the Creator-God become flesh, and there is not an uproar of protestation and denunciation from pulpits all over the country, the church is in a state of apostasy. And that is exactly what has taken place.

When interviewed by ABC's Charles Gibson, President George W. Bush revealed his lack of even basic understanding of Christian doctrine. Here is a verbatim transcript from that interview:

Q. "Do we all worship the same God, Christian and Muslim?" A. "I think we do. We have different routes of getting to the Almighty."

Q. "Do Christians and non-Christians and Muslims go to heaven in your mind?" A. "Yes they do. We have different routes of getting there."

Then, just a few days ago, President Bush, in an interview with Al Arabiya television, said, "I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God." In the same interview he said, "I believe there is a universal God. I believe the God that the Muslim prays to is the same God that I pray to. After all, we all came from Abraham. I believe in that universality."

Obviously, George W. Bush is a universalist. His confession is not that of a Christian, but that of a universalist. Any true Christian knows that there is but one mediator between God and man: Christ Jesus. Any true Christian knows that Jesus is the incarnate God--the Creator-God become flesh. Any true Christian knows that Jesus and the Father are one. Any true Christian knows that there is salvation in no other name, no other god. Any true Christian knows that no one has access to God except through Jesus Christ. Any true Christian knows that there is no God other than Jesus: that Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. That is Christianity 101.

With the above understanding and because President Bush claims to be a Christian, his statements should be regarded by Christians everywhere as an admission of apostasy and an attack upon the fundamental doctrine of Christ. Yet, there has been no reaction. No admonishments. No calls for repentance. No warnings to Christians to reject such heresy. No protestations whatsoever. Why? There is only one answer: the church itself is in a state of apostasy!

I will say it plainly: today's pastors and Christians seem to display more loyalty and devotion to George W. Bush than they do to the Lord Jesus Christ. This stands in stark contrast to Christians throughout Church history.

Has the reader ever wondered why the early Christians were persecuted by the Roman Empire? After all, the Roman Empire prided itself in being one of the most tolerant and pluralistic of all societies. People were free to worship any god they chose. There was complete freedom of religion throughout the Empire. An old maxim said that there were as many gods in Rome as there were people. Why, then, were Christians singled out for persecution?

The reason Christians were persecuted while people of other beliefs were not was not because they worshipped Jesus Christ. Obviously, Jewish leaders persecuted the early Christians because of their hatred of Jesus, which was due to the fact that He claimed to be their Messiah and Savior--a claim they vehemently rejected. However, the Roman Empire's persecution of Christians was for an entirely different matter.

Rome persecuted Christians because they believed that Jesus Christ was the ONLY God. Under Roman law, Caesar was a god, equal to any other god. Therefore, to be a good Roman, one had to worship Caesar. If one chose to worship another deity, it was fine. As long as he also bowed to Caesar. This was something the early Christians could not and would not do.

You see, from the very beginning of Church history, Christians believed that Jesus Christ was not a way, He was THE way; not a truth, but THE truth; not a god, but THE God. And for this declaration, for this conviction, and for this belief, early Christians were persecuted, imprisoned, and fed to hungry lions.

Yet today, the Church of Jesus Christ sits silent and still when the President of the United States, himself a professing Christian, publicly denies the central doctrine of Christ and embraces the pagan doctrine of universalism. Again, there is only one explanation: the Church is in a state of apostasy.

Of course, as apostasy spreads throughout the country, the men of sin will increase in strength and number. They will aggressively seek to seduce and deceive the people--something they are already doing. Furthermore, our Lord already instructed us as to what would happen when such a condition occurs. He told us that when "the salt have lost his savour . . . it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." (Matt. 5:13)

No wonder Jesus asked the question, "Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8) Finding faith and truth in the midst of apostasy would seem to be the challenge for every true child of God these days.

Palestinian officials who met with visiting US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Sunday said they received assurances that the Bush Administration will bring all its weight to bear on Israel to make sure Jerusalem is divided as part of an Israeli-Palestinian final status peace agreement it hopes to oversee at next month's peace summit in Annapolis, Maryland.

A senior Palestinian negotiator who took part in the meeting told WorldNetDaily that Rice promised to pressure Israel to halt all Jewish construction in the eastern half of Jerusalem, and to publicly blame Israel for the lack of peace in the region if the upcoming summit breaks down as a result of Israel's failure to surrender the holy city.

The government of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has signaled its willingness to turn over Arab-dominated neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem to the Palestinian Authority, but the latter is also demanding that Israel uproot large Jewish-dominated neighborhoods there as well.

Earlier in the day, Rice got an earful from Israeli leaders who do not see any realistic chance for peace at the planned Annapolis conference.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak told Rice that Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas remains incapable of exercising security control over large Palestinian cities, and said that Israel could not possibly agree at this time to reduce its military presence in Judea and Samaria, let alone allow full Palestinian sovereignty there.

Industry and Trade Minister Eli Yishai carried a similar message, explaining to Rice that Abbas holds sway over only a portion of Palestinian society, and that making peace with him would not necessarily mean an end to the conflict.

Ynet quoted Yishai as saying that even his right-wing religious Shas Party is ready to make "real Israeli concessions. But these concessions must be made when we have a real partner which is capable of controlling its people. This is not the situation now with Abbas."

In what was described by The Jerusalem Post as a cordial and warm meeting with Olmert, the American was informed that the current Israeli government views a Palestinian state as a fait accompli, but insisted that Israel would stick to the reciprocal peace steps laid out in the US-authored Road Map peace plan.

In an article on the website of WorldNetDaily, I will place the link below, they quoted from an interview President Bush did with a reporter from an Islamic news service. During that interview, President Bush said:

Well, first of all, I believe in an Almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace.

President Bush states that all people of faith pray to the same God. Well let’s see if that is true. The Bible says:

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5)

"Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." (1 John 2:23)

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5:11,12)

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18)

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36)

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Well if I have this correct, there is only one way to get to the Father and that is through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. No other way. So in order for all of us to be praying to the same God, all of the people of different religions would have to believe the same way. So when, not if because you are supposed to be sharing your faith as a Christian, you talk to Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Catholics, Sikhs, New Agers, etc. do they tell you that Jesus is the only way to get to the Father? Let me tell you from experience, no they do not. Why? Because they do not believe Jesus is the only way. It is mainly because they pray to a different god and do not believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. Can a true born again believer really believe that we all pray to the same God and that there are multiple ways to be right with that God? Since we know that is not true when you read the Bible, I wonder if there is another reason. Let’s look to the Bible and see:

"How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?" (John 5:44)

"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10)

"Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God." (John 12:42,43)

So which is it folks? Do you love the praise of men or do you love the praise of God? Are you seeking pats on the back from men or are you seeking to glorify the Lord no matter what the cost? Are you worried what friends might say about you, bosses might say about you, newspapers and TV might say about you, or are you much more focused and concerned what the God of the Bible will say about you on Judgment Day?

Later on in the article President Bush stated that he was hosting an Iftar dinner. It is the seventh one he has hosted in the seven years he has been in the White House. An Iftar dinner is the evening meal that breaks the daily fast that Muslims perform during the month of Ramadan.

You can go ahead and put me in the category of people who will not be hosting an Iftar dinner this year or any other year. I would be more than happy to go to one if I am invited, but you can be rest assured that I will be telling people the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ that will lead them to the only God that is out there when they die.

The praise of men or the praise of God, which one is it for you? A false convert or a true convert, which one are you?

Please pray for the soul of President Bush. He needs to get his spiritual house in order. All of us need to examine ourselves to make sure we are of the faith. As I tell people, Judgment Day sorts everything out. Make sure you have it all sorted out before you get to the throne of God because it will be too late to do anything about it then.

It seems President George W. Bush will stop at no lengths to appease Mexico and place the United States under international authority. His latest fiasco, however, twists logic, mocks justice, and defies decency.

I am referring to the fact that President Bush is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the death penalty of an illegal Mexican alien convicted of brutally raping and murdering two Houston, Texas teenagers back in 1993. (I wrote about this case already)

Here is Word Net Daily's (WND) latest report of the story: "At issue is the death penalty verdict for Jose Medellin, who confessed in 1993 to participating in the rape and murder of two Houston teenagers. Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena were sodomized and strangled with their shoe laces. Medellin then boasted of keeping one girl's Mickey Mouse watch as a souvenir of the crime.

"The Bush administration is before the U.S. Supreme Court seeking to overturn the death penalty, at the behest of the International Court of Justice, a division of the United Nations.

"Medellin and four others were convicted of capital murder and sent to Texas' death row. A juvenile court sentenced Medellin's younger brother, who was 14 at the time, to 40 years in prison."

Why, you ask, would President Bush appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of an illegal alien who murdered two American teenagers? According to administration officials, it is because "the Texas court [that convicted and sentenced Medellin] is undermining the president's efforts to conduct foreign policy."

You read it right. President Bush is defending a rapist-murderer, because the man is an illegal alien and, therefore, should be turned over to the authority of a UN "world court." And, according to Bush, for the State of Texas to refuse to do so undermines the President's efforts to conduct foreign policy.

One has to wonder: just what kind of foreign policy does President Bush want to conduct? Apparently, Bush's foreign policy determines that it is more important to appease the Mexican government than see justice done for two American families who had their teenage daughters raped and murdered by an illegal alien from Mexico.

Remember, this is from a President who, when he was Governor of Texas, signed more than 150 death warrants. This is the same man who mocked condemned prisoner Karla Faye Tucker after she had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and had appealed to Bush for clemency. In fact, George W. Bush just might be the only chief executive in American history to publicly mock someone who was about to die.

In his autobiography, "A Charge To Keep," G.W. Bush addressed the subject of granting clemencies for people convicted of capital crimes. He said that it was not his job "to replace the verdict of a jury unless there are new facts or evidence of which a jury was unaware, or evidence that the trial was somehow unfair." He has now obviously forgotten this principle.

Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz is arguing on behalf of the state court and its death penalty. He called Bush's actions "breathtaking." He told the Houston Chronicle, "It is emphatically not the province of the president to say what the law is. If this president's assertion of authority is upheld in this case, it opens the door for enormous mischief from presidents of either party. What might these presidents be inclined to do if they had the power to flick state laws off the books?"

According to WND, Alliance Defense Fund Chief Counsel Benjamin Bull said he expected justices Souter, Stevens, Breyer, and Ginsburg to side with President Bush. For example, when Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was General Counsel with the ACLU, she wrote a law review article "advocating that American foreign policy be under the United Nations." According to Bull, the Medellin case "is manna from heaven" for Ginsburg.

The Medellin case might be manna from heaven for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but it is rotten potatoes for the American people. And President Bush is the cook in the kitchen serving up this garbage.

Is it any wonder that former Mexican President Vicente Fox told Larry King Live last Tuesday evening that he and President Bush had agreed to "create a new regional currency in the Americas." (See the story here)

Fox was asked by a listener what he felt about the possibility of having a Latin America united with one currency. According to the CNN transcript obtained by WND, "Fox answered in the affirmative, indicating it was a long-term plan. He admitted he and President Bush had agreed to pursue the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas--a free trade zone extending throughout the Western Hemisphere, suggesting part of the plan was to institute eventually a regional currency."

Is there anyone who cannot see what Bush is doing? He has committed the United States to a trilateral, hemispheric government in which each of the three nations--the U.S., Mexico, and Canada--are united under one regional authority. This is why President Bush demonstrates such stubborn resistance to any plan that would attempt to keep the United States independent of this newly formed regional authority.

Because of Bush's plan to merge the U.S. into a North American Community, he is determined to grant illegal aliens amnesty, and he is willing to demand that illegal aliens who rape and murder American citizens must be turned over to a "world court."

It is time the American people face the reality that President Bush is deliberately and intentionally sacrificing America's sovereignty and independence in order to fulfill his elitist plans for global unification. If our congressmen and senators had any real courage, they would impeach this man and his Vice President for treason.

The sad reality is, however, many of our congressmen and senators are just as guilty as Bush and Cheney. Furthermore, if the American people themselves would break away from "American Idol" and their favorite college football games long enough to see what was really happening in this country, we would not have these bozos in Congress to begin with.

America's biggest threat is not from al Qaeda; it is from these conniving internationalists in Washington, D.C. An al Qaeda terrorist can possibly knock down a building or bridge and kill a few of us, but these traitors (from both major parties) in Washington have the power to enslave the whole country--and that is exactly what they are in the process of doing.

So, in the name of "conducting foreign policy," President George W. Bush is doggedly defending a Mexican rapist-murderer. However, what he is really doing is working to appease his elitist Mexican counterparts so they together can implement their New World Order agenda. I don't know about anyone else, but it makes me want to puke!

George W. Bush was twice elected President of the United States with great assistance from evangelical Christians, who, almost universally, believed he was a born-again believer. Many still hold onto that belief. In fact, evangelical Christians compose the bulk of the ever-shrinking base of support Bush has left. This is due almost exclusively to this belief that Bush is a born-again Christian.

As a minister of the Gospel for more than three decades, I have witnessed professing Christians do and say just about anything one would associate with unbelief. In fact, nowadays the line dividing believers and unbelievers seems practically nonexistent.

I've known unbelievers who are far kinder and more compassionate than many professing believers. In fact, professing Christians are sometimes even meaner and more cantankerous than unbelievers. (Don't get me wrong: I've known many unbelievers who were as mean as rattlesnakes, too.)

Another paradox to me is how so many professing believers (including pastors) seem to lack the spiritual discernment to understand even the simplest principles. This is especially true regarding the principles of freedom and national independence. One would assume that knowledge of the Scriptures, along with the aid of the Holy Spirit, would cause believers to be on the front lines in the defense of these principles. However, many times, unbelievers are the ones fighting for liberty, while believers sit piously and passively on the sidelines. What a shame!

However, that believers can continue to propound the "Christianity" of George W. Bush takes the cake. One has to hand it to Karl Rove: he thoroughly and masterfully fooled the Religious Right. And he did it with only a little assistance from Bush.

A few public catch phrases; some prayer breakfasts; a few references to Jesus; some personal meetings; and a few phone calls or personal meetings with big-name evangelicals was all it took to beguile the vast majority of professing believers. Because of this, George W. Bush is now and forever known as "our beloved Christian President."

Then again, how would our Christian brethren react if someone came into their church and said that "all religions pray to the same God"? I dare say such a statement would be met with the most vehement rejection. Yet, that is exactly what President Bush has said repeatedly. The latest example was just last Friday, October 5, 2007.

In an interview with Al Arabiya reporter Elie Nakouzi, Bush said, "I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, pray to the same God." Bush has made this same statement throughout his Presidency. The statement obviously reflects a deep-seated belief. [Read]

Of course, George W. Bush is the first President in U.S. history to celebrate Ramadan in the White House. He is also the first President to worship and pray in a Shinto temple.

Last Friday, World Net Daily quoted Bush as saying, "We are having an Iftaar dinner tonight--I say, 'we'-- it's my wife and I." Bush also said, "This is the seventh one in the seven years I've been the president. It gives me a chance to say 'Ramadan Mubarak.'" Bush is also quoted as saying, "I want American citizens to see me hosting an Iftaar dinner."

The Iftaar dinner refers to the evening meal for breaking the daily fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan. "Mubarak" means "blessed." So, when Bush says "Ramadan Mubarak" he is saying that Ramadan is blessed (by God), or "blessed Ramadan."
I would very much like to see President Bush ask one of his Muslim or Shintoist friends to pray in Jesus' name, or ask them to take Christian communion, or publicly worship the Lord Jesus Christ. You know as well as I do that no Muslim would deny Allah by worshipping Jesus Christ. Yet, our supposed "Christian" President has no qualms about denying Christ in order to worship Allah or pray to Shinto gods.

Anyone with even a casual knowledge of Islam knows that when Muhammad founded the Muslim religion there were about 300 pagan gods being worshipped in the region. He selected the moon god, Allah, and proclaimed it to be the one true God. This is, of course, the origin of the crescent moon symbol of Islam.

Therefore, when President Bush says Muslims and Christians worship the same god, he is saying the Lord Jesus Christ is not superior to the pagan moon god, Allah. Or to turn it around, Bush is saying the pagan moon god, Allah, is equal to the Lord Jesus Christ. And it would appear that Bush would have the same belief regarding the Shinto gods, or any other pagan god, for that matter.

So, here is the sixty-four million dollar question: can a Christian pray to Allah or to any other false god? Can a Christian worship any other god? Can a Christian recognize a pagan god to be equal to the Lord Jesus Christ?

Every true Christian knows that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. Jesus is not "a" way of salvation. He is the only way of salvation, and His is the only name whereby we are saved. No man comes unto the Father except through Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). This is Christianity 101. We have pre-kindergarten children in our Sunday School that apparently understand more about Bible truth than our supposed "Christian" President.

However, the Scriptures are even more explicit. For example, 1 John 2:22,23 states unequivocally, "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father."

Could the Apostle John be any plainer? Any person denying the Son denies the Father, and any person who has not the Son has not the Father. Plus, anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah, Savior) is an antichrist.

The Apostle Paul stated in Philippians 2:10,11 "That at the name of Jesus [not Allah] every knee should bow [including the knee of Muhammad], of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess [including the tongues of Muslims, Shintoists, Buddhists, and atheists] that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

I ask again, can a true Christian pray to Allah or worship Allah (or any other false god)? Would any real Christian not cringe at the thought that he or she might actually equate the Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Savior of the world, with a false, pagan god or dare to reduce the sinless, resurrected Christ to the ranks of pagan idols? Perish the thought!

So, what does this tell us of George W. Bush? How can he deny his Lord for the sake of political correctness? Furthermore, what does this tell us about the hundreds and thousands of Christians and pastors across America who continue to defend and laud this apostate?

It is one thing for evangelicals to support President Bush for political reasons. But for evangelicals to support President Bush for his "Christianity" is the height of absurdity. The man has proven he has absolutely no understanding of genuine Christianity, and for evangelicals to continue to support him on that basis only serves to display their own ignorance or compromise--or both.

"Bush quietly advising Hillary Clinton, top Democrats." This is the title of a much under-reported news story, which appeared in The Examiner on September 24th. The Examiner opens the story by saying, "President Bush is quietly providing back-channel advice to Hillary Rodham Clinton, urging her to modulate her rhetoric so she can effectively prosecute the war in Iraq if elected president."

The story stems from an interview with White House Chief of Staff, Josh Bolten, for The Examiner's Senior White House correspondent Bill Sammon's new book, "The Evangelical President."

The Examiner said "Bush wants enough continuity in his Iraq policy that 'even a Democratic president would be in a position to sustain a legitimate presence there.'" Bolten went on to say that "He [Bush] wants to create the conditions where a Democrat not only will have the leeway, but the obligation to see it [the war in Iraq] out."

Bolten made it clear that Bush expects the war in Iraq to continue "[n]o matter who the president is, no matter what party . . ."

The Examiner story also reported, "A senior White House official said the administration did not put much stock in pledges by Democratic presidential candidates to swiftly end the Iraq war if elected."

The White House official said, "They [the Democratic frontrunners] are being advised by smart people. We've got colleagues here on the staff who have good communications with some of the thinkers on that side.

"And there is recognition by most of them that there has to be a long-term presence [in Iraq] by the United States . . ."

The Examiner also quotes Vice President Dick Cheney as saying, "And I think we'll increasingly see a lot of emphasis on deciding who the next occupant of the Oval Office is going to be."

As you read the above, did you not ask the question, "Why is this not a front page story in the mainstream media?" If the media truly wanted to do its job, this story would be page one in every major newspaper and the lead story on every television and radio network news show. But it's not. Why? Because the powers that control the mainstream media are the same ones who control the two major parties and they don't want the American people to know that the "fix" is already in. George W. Bush knows it; Hillary Clinton knows it; Dick Cheney knows it; the CFR knows it; Democrat and Republican insiders know it; and now you know it.

I have attempted to warn my readers that the Bushes and Clintons have been "best buds" for years (see http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2007/cbarchive_20070717.html ). My initial source for this report was someone who was among the Clintons' closest friends for much of his life. Whatever acrimony one may perceive to exist between the two families is purely for show. Democrats expect the Clintons to lambaste the Bushes. Republicans expect the Bushes to do the same thing to the Clintons. So they do. It is all political theater.

For that matter, Bill Sammon's new book promoting the idea that Bush is an "Evangelical President" is more political theater. Bush has simply hijacked the evangelical movement in order to push forward a globalist New World Order agenda.

Believe me, the Bushes and Clintons are friends, and have been for decades--at least since George H.W. Bush was President and Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas. At least since then--probably longer.

However, the connection between the Bushes and Clintons is much deeper than that. Both families are also part of the inside cabal of New World Order globalists. They share the same clubs, the same parties, and the same agenda. Why else do you think that when G.W. Bush became President he did not undo anything Bill Clinton had done? For the same reason that Hillary Clinton will not undo anything that G.W. Bush has done when she becomes President--and that includes the Iraq war.

Mark it down: Hillary will keep U.S. troops in Iraq. She will also follow through with whatever other military plans Bush has already put in place. She will continue with Bush's push for the North American Union, amnesty for illegal aliens, and the NAFTA Superhighway. She will continue the Patriot Act, domestic surveillance, and even Bush's "enemy combatant" classification for American citizens. She will also do nothing to restore Posse Comitatus.

Those Democrats who really believe they are voting for "change" when they vote for Hillary next year are in for a rude awakening. They will awaken to the same reality that those who thought they were voting for change when they voted for Dubya have come to realize: it does not matter to a tinker's dam whether G.W. or Hillary is elected President. They are both marching to the same drummer. (Neither would it matter should Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, or John Edwards become President.) The "fix" is in. So much so that G.W. Bush is already privately counseling Hillary on what to do after she becomes President.

I tried to warn my readers of this connection as far back as 2002 (see http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2002/cbarchive_20020913.html ). I thought the set up would put Hillary in the White House in 2004, but obviously, my timing was off one election. 2008 is the year the global elite--with much help from both the Clinton and Bush machines--will put Hillary in the White House.

It is no accident, my friends, that there is no "top tier" contender in the GOP this year that is able to galvanize grassroots Republicans. Neither is it an accident that Bush's policies are increasingly unpopular, thus further alienating both the Republican and conservative base and the American people in general from the GOP ticket next year. Dubya is merely setting up a Hillary victory in much the same way that Daddy Bush set up a victory for Bill back in 1992.

Make no mistake about it: Hillary Clinton is the "anointed" pick of her fellow elitists to become President of the United States in 2008.

Obviously, a wholesale political revolution could derail the plans of the elitist egomaniacs who control our country right now, but I don't believe the American people, and especially the pastors (who have the most power to accomplish this task), have the stomach for it.

The only way for the American people to thwart the plans of the international cabal currently calling the shots in Washington, D.C., and New York City is by a massive rejection of both major parties' prominent Presidential candidates. This would require wholesale support for independent-minded, non-elitist candidates such as Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, or Alan Keyes. Even better, a grassroots uprising of support for independent constitutionalists such as Jerome Corsi or Judge Roy Moore--on a Constitution Party ticket (see http://www.constitutionparty.com/ )--would put the elitists in retreat for decades to come. However, I see little hope for such a revolution. (Then again, there was little hope for George Washington and the boys either.)

So, come November 2008, Hillary Clinton will be your President, and she will continue the same basic policies of one George W. Bush, who continued the same basic policies of one Bill Clinton, who continued the same basic policies of one George Herbert Walker Bush. One would think that eventually the American people would begin to catch on. Until they do, however, the "fix" is in.

A curious question: If the Arab/Israeli War (or Iran War) starts sometime soon, which side do you think Pres. Bush will take? If you guessed Israel’s side, then sadly you have missed a lot of news while you were on your summer break. It’s a strange thing what people will do for money. We have heard from several credible sources that President Bush has been strategizing with the Saudi royal family and his other business partners and they are planning to drag our brave men and women of our military into war with Iran ~ because of oil and oil money. As we listen to the news, we could almost think that we are going to war with Iran because of their nuclear weapons, but key officials in the US and Israel point out that Iran isn’t close to having weapons. A couple of weeks ago, I came across an article that pointed out that Iran, Syria, Russia, and China are the last holdouts ~ these four countries are not sharing oil profits with Pres. Bush and his Saudi and other business partners. So, they would like to go to war to take over their oil resources ~ and create a bigger oil monopoly. I just finished reading my current copy of The Times Examiner newspaper, which is published by my good friend Bob Dill in Greenville, South Carolina. This is an excellent independent paper that I can heartily recommend to my readers, by the way. I believe one hundred newspapers such as The Times Examiner would go a long way in helping to save this once-great republic. One does not have to live in Greenville to subscribe. I believe it is important that we support those brave, independent men who are fighting to preserve America's historic principles. Bob is doing just that through The Times Examiner newspaper.

In the Examiner, I could not help but notice the report which chronicles the release of a new film "on the life and faith of President Bush." The film is entitled "George W. Bush: FAITH in the White House." According to the report, the film claims that "not since Abe Lincoln has a sitting president talked so much about God as has President Bush."

The article also states, "Like no other president in the history of our nation, George W. Bush boldly, publicly, and genuinely lives out his faith on the job. According to BBC correspondent Justin Webb, 'Nobody spends more time on his knees than George W. Bush. The Bush administration hums to the sound of prayer. Prayer meetings take place day and night. It's not uncommon to see White House functionaries hurrying down corridors carrying Bibles.'"

When I read things such as this, I am reminded of why I wrote a previous column entitled, "Why Are Christians So Gullible?" Christians do seem to be among the most gullible people in the world. And nowhere is this gullibility observed more than in the way Christians relate to politics.

It seems that many Christians are willing to swallow just about anything if it is camouflaged in the garb of "Christianity." And George W. Bush is the ultimate example of this tragic reality.

Are there sincere Christians in subordinate positions within the Bush administration? Of course there are. Some of them may even “[hurry] down corridors carrying Bibles." Karl Rove was a master strategist. He constantly fed the Religious Right mega-helpings of carrots to bring them into the trap. Private phone calls, invitations to dinners and lunches, letters of appreciation, and the employment of many believers are among the many such tactics employed by Rove. But as Jesus plainly told us, "Ye shall know them by their fruits."

Don't get me wrong. Nothing would please me more than to know that our President was a true Christian man. I believe our country is in desperate need of genuine Christian leaders. We need leaders who fear God, leaders who believe in honesty and truth, and leaders who will honor their oaths of office. Then again, I would be pleased to have such a leader in office, regardless of his or her Christian profession. One does not have to be a Christian to fear God, believe in honesty, and take seriously his obligation to obey the U.S. Constitution. In fact, I know some unbelievers whom I would trust much more than I would trust some professing Christians.

And speaking of praying, we know G.W. Bush has participated in prayers to the Muslim god, Allah. In fact, he is the first U.S. President to celebrate Ramadan in the White House. He is the also the first U.S. President to honor the Koran (a book that promotes the killing of non-Muslims) in a presidential inaugural address. And as far as I can tell, he is the first U.S. President to pray in a Shinto temple. So, can someone please tell us exactly which god it is to whom Bush prays?

However, it is President Bush's infatuation with fascism and globalism that should be of utmost concern to all Americans, especially Christians.

Without a doubt, George W. Bush has done more to threaten our constitutional liberties than any President since Woodrow Wilson. (Oh, yes, he claimed to be a Christian, too.) More than that, because Bush has convinced the Religious Right that he is one of them, they are willing to follow him down this pernicious path.

George Bush has allowed America's borders and ports to remain open, not only to illegal aliens, but also to potential terrorists. Our security agencies know that terrorists from the Middle East are coming across our southern border in great numbers. They know that America is just as vulnerable to a terrorist attack as it was before 9/11/01. How can a "Christian" president sleep at night, when he knows that his attempts to appease and accommodate Mexico and China are putting America's safety at risk? Yet, even this week, President Bush was in Canada to push forward with his plans to integrate the United States into a North American Community, which only serves to further facilitate increased illegal immigration.

At the same time that President Bush throws open the door of illegal immigration with its potential for terrorism, he hammers away at the constitutional liberties of the American people. Furthermore, his administration is fraught with secrecy and duplicity. It seems to me that the Bible has a little something to say about honesty.

Just last year, President Bush removed the historic protection of Posse Comitatus, which prevented U.S. troops from being used against American citizens. Would a true Christian do this? Adding more suspicion to an administration laden with suspicion, the Department of Homeland Security is currently enlisting the assistance of pastors to help promote gun confiscation in the event of another terrorist attack. Again, why would a Christian president authorize or condone such a thing? Beyond that, his infatuation with warrantless wiretaps and eavesdropping puts the liberty of every American at risk.

In addition, while claiming to be waging a war on terrorism in Iraq, President Bush is sending hundreds of millions of dollars of arms and munitions to his oil buddies in Saudi Arabia. This is in spite of the fact that Saudi Arabia has been the most aggressive supplier of Islamic terrorist activity of any nation in the world. Have Christians forgotten that the vast majority of the 9/11 hijackers (along with Osama bin Laden) were not from Iraq, or even Iran, but Saudi Arabia?

Even if President Bush is a sincere Christian, he is, more often than not, sincerely wrong. Many would say that Jimmy Carter was a sincere Christian, but evangelical Christians did not give him a pass on bad policy decisions. Why should we give G.W. Bush a pass just because he calls himself a Christian? We shouldn't.

We don't need a President who claims to be a Christian but who runs roughshod over the Constitution and treats the liberties of the American people with frivolity. We don't need a President who says he is a Christian but who calls people who are concerned about his secret agreements with Mexico and Canada "comical." (Which is exactly what Bush said just a few days ago.) We don't need a President who bathes himself in the aura of Christianity but who leads America into an era of imperialism (and that is exactly what the world now perceives about us) with a penchant for preemptive war.

What we need is an old-fashioned AMERICAN President. A President who will put the interests of America above the interests of internationalists. A President who will stop selling out American workers to China and Mexico. A President who will keep his word to support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. A President who will protect America's borders. A President who will stop using America's fighting men as the world's policemen. A President who is more concerned about the economic well-being of Americans than he is about constructing some "global economy" for the multinational corporations and international bankers. And, yes, a President who believes in telling the American people the truth. Show me a President that will do this, and I will be happy to support him, whether he tells me he prays or attends church or calls himself a Christian or not. And any President who does not do this, George W. Bush included, I will oppose, no matter what he calls himself.

Instead of watching blatantly biased films, which are only designed to deceive and dumb down Christian voters, we should be watching the actual actions and policies of our elected leaders. Perhaps, then, we would not only be less gullible, but we would also be able to hold our leaders accountable to the principles of good government--something most Christians are not doing now.

In "The Late Great USA," Corsi shows how the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, an agreement signed in 2005 by President George W. Bush, Paul Martin of Canada and Vicente Fox of Mexico, is nothing less than a full-frontal assault on American sovereignty.

Says Corsi, "Bush's goal to create a North American Union – with no borders, a shared currency, and utterly no voice for average Americans in their own futures – is the real reason he won't enforce immigration laws."

During a press conference at the conclusion of last week's trilateral summit in Quebec, Bush was asked by Fox News if he would be willing to categorically deny that there is a plan to create a North American Union, or that there are plans to create NAFTA Superhighways.

But Bush sidestepped the question, and instead ridiculed those arguing that the European Union model of gradually integrating nations into a larger continental union is being used in North America.

He called it an old political scare tactic, to try to create a wild conspiracy and then demand that those who "are not engaged" prove that it isn't happening.

"I'm amused by the difference between what actually takes place in the meetings and what some are trying to say takes place," Bush responded. "It's quite comical, actually, when you realize the difference between reality and what some people are talking on TV about."

Harper joined in. There's not going to be any NAFTA Superhighway connecting the three nations, he said, and it's "not going to go interplanetary either," he said.

But ridicule, counters Corsi, is the "last resort of someone who is losing an argument." Such tactics, he adds, "underestimate the intelligence of people listening, and people realize that the argument wasn't answered."
